2025 BlueCat TV Writing Competition: CALL FOR ENTRIES

BlueCat has a long and distinguished history of discovering writers, introducing them to the film and television industry and launching their careers.

We read every pilot and provide written notes on all submissions to develop you into a professional writer of television.

Submit your pilot by our Opening Day Deadline on January 7th and receive your written feedback by January 21st!

Every TV Pilot Receives Written Feedback!


BlueCat has the best feedback! When you submit your pilot, you will receive script analysis at no extra charge. After receiving feedback, all writers will be eligible to revise their scripts and resubmit.

Prizes

There will be two winners: Hour Pilot and Half-Hour Pilot.

The winners will win $2,000 each and be introduced to over four hundred literary managers and agents.

Every writer will receive a written analysis of their pilot!

Deadlines:

  • Opening: January 7th
  • Early: February 4th
  • Regular: March 4th
  • Final: April 22nd
  • Late: May 13th
  • Resubmission: June 3rd

Ben Phillippe

Ben has written for LUCKY HANK, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, and ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING. He is repped by WME.

Jane Barr

Jane has developed projects at Amazon, Chernin, and Lionsgate. She is repped by UTA.

Aaron Guzikowski

Aaron created the HBO MAX series RAISED BY WOLVES, as well as the acclaimed series THE RED ROAD. He is repped by Verve.

Kimi Howl Lee

Kimi sold her show $UGAR to Hulu. She has also written for LOCKE & KEY and THE MORNING SHOW. She is repped by WME.

Wenonah Wilms

Wenonah wrote for TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY and is developing several projects. She is repped by UTA. 

Kateland Brown

Kateland has written for PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and FAMOUS IN LOVE. She is repped by UTA.
