A grieving healer, desperate to keep love from slipping away, makes a pact with the Devil to resurrect her dead husband. But when he returns in the wrong man’s body, her obsession traps her in a dark spiral that may cost her soul.
Madi Stine is an LA-based horror filmmaker. She gravitates toward heavy, emotionally grounded themes with horror elements emerging organically from a character’s psychological conflict. Madi graduated from Harvard University (BA, Film and English) and Columbia University (MFA, Screenwriting/Directing), and is a Fulbright Scholar. She’s working with Abrams Books to develop one of her scripts, Dog Mom, into a novel. She’s also in pre-production on a found footage horror feature. Her short films have won awards and screened at festivals including Palm Springs, Nantucket, and PROOF. Her scripts have scored a 9 on the Black List, been a Finalist at Austin Film Festival, and won the Harvardwood Writers Competition and Best Screenplay at Nightmares Film Festival. She’s represented by manager Bryan Brucks of 831 Entertainment. She lives in east Los Angeles with her husband, Gray, and puppy, Tilda.
